The National Technical Committee 255 on Glass in Building of Standardization Administration of China
The National Technical Committee 255 on Glass in Building of Standardization Administration of China (hereinafter referred to as the SAC) was established in March 2001, with the designation SAC/TC255. The secretariat is undertaken by Qinhuangdao Glass Industry Research and Design Institute, and it is technically aligned with the International Organization for Standardization's ISO/TC 160. TC255 has established three sub-technical committees: SC1 for Solar Photovoltaic Insulating Glass, SC2 for Product Research, and SC3 for Application Research.

The only authoritative professional technical journal in the national building materials glass industry - "GLASS", is a professional technical journal in the building materials industry approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China (formerly the State Science and Technology Commission) and registered with the National Press and Publication Administration for public distribution. It is hosted by Qinhuangdao Glass Industry Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd. The domestic publication number is CN 13-1106/TQ, and the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) is 1003-1987.
